Basic cake base (sponge cake/egg cake/pound cake): whisk eggs and butter until stiff peaks form. Sift soft flour and fold in beaten egg gently. Then fold in melted butter. Pre-heat oven and bake at 180°C for 20-25 minutes. After baking, turn cake over and leave to cool.

Combination: soften cream cheese at room temperature, add in caster sugar and stir until smooth, add melted butter and mix well.

Crumble cake, add in cream cheese mixture and mix well. Chill for 5 minutes, take out and press softly into 1.5cm thick, then cut into heart shape with cutters. Chill for another 15 minutes.

Dip pop sticks into red chocolate coating and then insert into the middle of the cakes and leave for 15 minutes.

Melt pink chocolate over hot water, dip cakes into chocolate coating and leave until 80% dry, then decorate with sugar crystals. |
